Millions of children, especially the girl child is being robbed of access to education simply because of who they are or where they live. Deprived of learning because they are caught up in emergencies, face extreme poverty, or are discriminated against because of their gender, disability, or ethnicity. The world’s most vulnerable and excluded children are missing out on education.

Today, nearly 400 million children of primary school age cannot read or write, and 25 million children will never enroll in school – and two-thirds of them are girls. Without a quality basic education, children are less likely to escape the cycle of poverty and may never have the opportunity to fulfill their potential.

Activity Implemented:

  • Continuous tuition payment of Master Gabriel Abanonu fees.

Provision of Sanitary Pads to Secondary Schools’ Girls:

We have also provided about 500 adolescent girls with volumes of sanitary pads to promote adolescent reproductive health among secondary school students in two states in Nigeria. This had in no small way reduced the unhealthy practice that could culminate into harmful infections, causing further damages to the future of the young girls.

11th October, 2021 – free distribution of sanitary pads to girls’ students at Bishop Mark Memorial Secondary School, Owerri, Imo State to mark International Day of the Girl Child.
