Medical Missions

DAF has continued to organise health outreach programmes in rural communities aimed at taking healthcare service provision to hard-to-reach communities, where people in those communities would prefer the use of local herbs, rather than orthodox medicines to treat medical conditions. During outreaches like this, our volunteers would give health talks, administer health checks on different medical conditions and give free medications to people.

Through this intervention, we have reached out to 4,000 people, mostly children and women, in three communities where it has been implemented. Fully-paid referral services were made to serious medical condition patients that required urgent attention as discovered while on such outreaches.
